Some of you may be well aware that our construction industry is made up of 3 million companies of which 95% are SMEs and 5% are world-leading multinationals headquartered in Europe. More so, the sector provides 42 million local skilled jobs and accounts for 29% of total employment across the whole EU.

What is less known is that the construction industry is undergoing an electronic evolution with robots, drones, artificial intelligence and many other developments. With the help of a great panel of experts, we discovered these new technologies and discussed the changes they will bring to the industry and to our built environment.

The event was hosted by UK MEP Catherine Stihler and took place in the European Parliament in Brussels on 21st March.
